In the group, one of the most important characters that embarked on the pilgrimage to Apple Pie Hill is Ian Cox. Ian leads a life that is far from the average person. Ian tends to lean more towards the independent artist lifestyle. Ian is only seventeen, and is of average height and weight. He managed to drop out of high school and become home schooled. He had success being home schooled, but decided to drop that too because he wanted to focus more on his photography. He is one of the most interesting people on the pilgrimage, with his interest in photography, and lifestyle choices. Ian also has other aspects in his life which are also far from average.

First off, Ian’s main love in life is photography. He works with both film and digital cameras, and is very skilled with film for his young age. Ian first developed an interest in photography after taking classes for it while in high school. He soon found himself after school, working on his pictures all the time. Eventually he began to take classes outside of school, such as the summer program UArts in Philadelphia. Once Ian had dropped out of school completely, he used this time to take more classes in photography. Ian has accumulated many great prints from his career in photography, and he was able to open a few galleries and sell some them. Eventually he was able to get a job in a dark room near his house, where he develops film, sells supplies, and teaches classes. Ian’s passion for photography has brought him success, and steered him towards the path less taken.

Equally important, Ian has become aware of many things in life. Ian has decided to become a vegan. This choice has made some parts of his life harder. It can be difficult to get food accepted in his diet while over someone’s house. He also has to be aware of ingredients in the product he is eating because not only does he not eat meat, but he doesn’t eat anything that comes from an animal. Ian also volunteers in a political bookstore in Philly. This is one of a few bookstores that are non profit. All the money earned in the store goes to back to the community of Philadelphia. Ian does this because he loves the city, and is very politically active. He is always up to date on political issues and reads up about anything politics in his spare time. Ian spends most of his time in Philadelphia, biking around, working, or anything he feels like doing. Going to city also makes his diet choice easier, since the city is covered in vegetarian and vegan restaurants.

Ian’s choices in his life have led him to great happiness, and his interest in photography has made brought him success. Ian has managed to become an extremely independent person for his young age. Ian’s lifestyle is extremely unique compared to any of the other members of the group.

a rock decided to fly into my rear window and break it. insurance doesn't cover accidents like this unless it costs over $500. so i have to pay about $225. its raining today so the repair man isn't coming to fix it, and im not gonna drive with a missing rear window in the rain. I havn't checked my car to see if rain is getting through the tarp i covered it up with. Im also sick. School starts in two days. my phone broke and my mom decided it was best for me if she canceled my insurance on it about a week before i break it. the only thing that bothers me is that i haven't seen a few of my friends in a little while cause they've been away.
i just want soup. make me soup.

I look forward to school. Although it hasn't completely sunk in that I won't see all the kids going to college soon. I have to make this last year count because I realize soon I won't have as many free meals, or all of my friends in a 2 mile radius of me. I don't want to have to go away to college and meet new people, cause I don't need to make new friends. I hope nobody goes to college far from here (james don't go to california), because then I may only see them over breaks...

Senior year should be amazing. I just keep thinking this over and over. I really want to go the lake soon because there is some kinda clearer body of water close to it that isn't the quarry...

Next summer we'll be able to finish the things we couldn't do this summer.

I wish people weren't stupid and didn't hate other people...

Have you ever met someone who feels like they know when something is wrong (except you're fine), so they try to talk to you like you need help with some issue. I hate that. Or when someone randomly talks to you specifically in a group of people and says "So, what's up" or "How are you", when you've been with this person for a long time in the group of people. It just bothers me, you say that when you first see someone or something. Not 2 or more hours into the association you are having. I can't think of anyway to correctly word those last few sentences to describe what im talking about. I did my best.

This summer is amazing. I wasn't excited for it in the beginning, but I had no idea it would be this awesome.

Don't bother...

I wish I knew more about small, but signifigant events in history that aren't told about in history class. I understand why they aren't usually taught, but how will I ever know about them if I never hear of them. What am I talking about? Well, it's kinda pathetic how I was lead to this (LOC), but have you ever heard of MOVE? In my opinion, this is an important thing to know about, but the wikipedia article seems to be more in favor of MOVE than reporting the topic. It just seems that the actions taken were extremely wrong, but MOVE was also being extremely (and unnecessarily) defiant.

i guess I should just surf around wiki to find more interesting history.

somehow the landlords decided to sign a lease for the next 3 years and just increase rent by $50. This is good, now I don't have to move into a smaller house. Its about the only good news my mom has had for a while now. Im just happy for her.

It puts a damper on your mood when some band sounds amazing, but the lyrics are just so horrible you don't want to know them. Even the vocals are amazing, they just can't write lyrics at all.
